Nimisha's pov
I woke up by hearing a worried voice of my mother and Anika, I could not open my eyes, my whole body was feeling weak as if I couldn't even move a finger, I tried to open my eyes a little and saw my mother with tears in her eyes.
I teared up, I was expecting to see him as soon as I wake up, why isn't he here.
She took me in a tight hug, and said
"Nimisha, my child what have you done, what if something had happened to you" she said crying
Anika helped me to sit up properly, I said trying to wipe her tears "maa pl....please don't cry, I am fine see, why are you crying I am right here in front of you"
"Why are you crying? You were about to die nimisha"I looked at Anika as she said this, she looked angry.
"But I did not, so it's fine now, let it be"
"Nimisha Don't talk so carelessly" she said holding my elbows tightly
"Sorry"I said looking down
"Sorry?... sorry?....., do you even have an idea about how much scared we were? Did you even think about all of us before taking big steps like that"
"I am really sorry Anika" I said looking down,as few tears slipped from my eyes.
"Don't cry nimisha, it's okay, it's done now" maa said wiping my tears, there was silence for few minutes, i could see them looking at eachother as if they were trying to tell me something but were not able to talk.
"Maa you want to tell me something?, you both look worried"
"Nimisha, ranasa has asked us to get you ready for the swayamwar" i looked at her with frowned eyebrows and teary eyes, she just nodded
"Please forgive me nimisha, I am not able to save you, even though being your mom I am not able to protect you from your father" maa said looking down
"No mom please don't blame yourself "
Before I could complete I flinched as I saw someone jumping in my chamber from the big window.
I was shocked to see who it was, it was Shivansh
"didi are you okay" he asked as he ran towards us
"I am fine Shivansh? What are you doing here?, is your Bhai also with you? Where is he?" I asked trying at look at the window
"Didi, mama Shri has sent his people to keep an eye on him, that's why he was not able to meet you from yesterday" he said holding my hands, i nodded looking down
" What are you doing here Shivansh? Why did you come in from the window?" Maa asked
"Didi I can't see my hero become weak, I can't see him sad, didi I can't see him like that, those tears in his eyes broke my heart, I can't see him feeling low, I might act immature but didi he is my strongest hero, I can do anything for him, I have never seen him so sad, I can do anything to make my jyesht happy, he'll be the happiest if he gets you" he said looking down and then continued
"I am here to take nimisha didi with me please come fast, they are waiting outside, come fast" i looked at my mother and she just assured me with tears in her eyes, in the hurry i forgot that my body was weak, i tried to get down from the bed and run towards the window but as soon as I stepped out of the bed I fell on the ground.
"Nimishaaaaa"
they ran towards me and tried to take me towards my bed, but all our eyes went wide as we heard a announcement that pithashri was coming in
Anika said to Shivansh "you go out, go fast, go before ranasa enters"
Shivansh went out from the window, then we heard pithashri's voice
"Why are you on the floor, get up" he said in a cold voice, maa and Anika tried to help me but he stopped them
"Get up"
he said again, i tried to get up but I was not able to stand by myself, I fell back, he came towards me and held my elbows harshly and pulled me up
"Pithashri" I said out of pain
"Is it hurting?" He asked, I nodded
"It should hurt" He said tightening his hold, tears were rolling down from my eyes
" I know very well if you wanted to die you would have but you didn't want to die, that's why you are still alive, you thought I would fall for your tricks and cancel the swayamwar?" He stopped speaking and then continued
" I am trying to save you nimisha, why don't you understand...."
"Pithashri I love him, If I get married, it'll only with him"
"I want you to get ready in an hour, only an hour, go get ready for your swayamvar,"he said and pushed me back
"Get her ready ranisa, don't disappoint me" he said looking at maa and left
Maa and Anika came and helped me, I cried hugging my mother
"How could he maa,i don't want this swayamwar or anything, I love Rajkumar devansh, does my wish not matter maa?" I cried in her arms
"Please forgive me nimisha I am not able to save you, your mother is not strong like you to go against your dad"
" Don't talk like that maa, you are the strongest woman I have seen" I said
Then the door of my chamber open and few maids entered in the chamber with big plates in their hands covered with red clots, one of them came forward and started speaking
"pranam ranisa, pranam rajkumari, ranasa has appointed us to get rajkumari ready for the swayamwar"
We looked at eachother "rajkumari, we have to get you ready in an hour please come with us"
"Maa I don't want to do this maa" I said crying, she looked down
"Rajkumar please come" my mind was blank, I had no idea what to do
They took me to the washroom to give me bath, I could barely walk with my shaking legs, they washed my hairs and washed my body, they made sure not to touch my hand, after giving a bath they took me to the dressing room and dried my hairs then Anika helped me to wear the heavy red lehenga with many gems stitched on it, I was made to wear many big jewellers they had bought and then I was finally ready to my swayamvar which I didn't want at all, tears fell from my eyes as I saw my reflection in the mirror
I just wanted to runaway, I should have done that but I was scared what his parents would think of me so, I tried everything to stop the swayamwar but in the end I failed
Maa looked at me with teary eyes and then said "nimisha, I hope some miracle happens and you get what you want, may god bless you, stay happy always"
A maid came and informed that I was asked to come to the swayamwar, Anika and Leela held me up and made me walk, we reached near where the swayamwar was held we stopped as we saw pithashri coming towards us and he said
"Do not create any scene in front of so many great kings and make me bow my head, I don't want anyone to know about yesterdays issue" I just nodded
We entered the swayamwar, annoucement was made about my arrival, I could see many kings and prince looking at me but my eyes were searching for someone else, we walked towards the throne by climbing stairs, I was about to slip but Anika was holding me, we sat down, I was trying to see where he was but couldn't find him, did he go back? I asked myself but there he was looking at me with a blank face, how well he has masked his emotions, I looked away
Pithashri started speaking "I welcome all the kings and prince to my kingdom Vidarbha, thankyou all for coming to attend my daughter nimisha's swayamvar, it's my pleasure to see you all here, I request you all to kindly accept my daughter's decision whatever it is and not to take it personally" If only he respected my choice I wouldn't have been here today.
After sometime I was given a garland and was asked to choose my life partner Anika and Leela held me and made me walk towards the kings and prince who where sitting in their assigned places, as I was taking steps towards them I was going far from him.
looked back at him one last time and I could see tears in his eyes which he was controlling from slipping out, it broke my heart to see tears in his eyes.
My tears started falling again and then suddenly I dropped the garland in my hands and everyone stood up from their seats, I can't do this to myself and him.
"nimisha what are you doing?"Anika asked, I pushed them both away.
I immediately turned around and saw everybody was looking at me with confusion, I started running towards him with all the energy in my body, I was trying my best to not slip and fall, Anika followed me, I was just 10 steps away from him but my legs gave up and my head stared to spin, I was ready to fall on the ground but he held me, my eyes were closing a little by little.
"Nimisha, nimisha what happened, try to open your eyes, look at me, I am right here"he said tapping my cheeks
"Take me out of here please, I do not want to marry anyone other than you, I don't want this swayamwar"and then I blanked out.
